Kunjananthante Kada is the second movie of the National Award
winner Salim Ahamed. Mammootty and Nyla Usha play the lead roles in this
film. This much hyped movie has finally hit the theaters today. Unlike
Mammootty's last flick Kadal Kadannu Oru Mathukutty, Kunjananthante Kada
is said to be a complete family entertainer.
Kunjananthan is a simple man, who runs a grocery shop in his village. He
is very much attached to his shop, which he inherited from his father.
Kunjananthan and his wife had a love marriage. His wife is working in a
co-operative bank. But unfortunately, their married life is
unsuccessful. Kunjananthan and his wife plans for a divorce.
Meanwhile, Kunjananthan's shop owner comes and asks him to move from the
shop as a new road was going to be constructed in his village.
Unluckily, Kunjananthan's shop site also came under the map for the road
construction. He tries to convince his owner about his attachment
towards his shop. But all goes in vain. One day, an officer comes in and
starts his job of acquiring land for the road construction.
Kunjananthan had no other way, but to fight against them. He implements
his own methods of saving his shop.
How Kunjanathan saves his shop from being destroyed, changes that struck
in his
life and how Kunjananthan adjusts with his family form the rest
of the story.
