'5 Sundarikal' is a romantic anthology film which includes five short films on love about five women - mother, daughter, lover, wife, and actress. The stories are directed by Aashiq Abu, Anwar Rasheed, Amal Neerad, Samir Thahir, and Shyju Khalid.
Aashiq Abu's movie segment 'Gowri' is a period film about a group of people going in search of a promised land. Biju Menon, Kavya Madhavan, singer Rimi Tomy, and Tini Tom do the lead roles.
Anwar Rasheed's featurette 'Aami' is a road movie which unfolds on an eventful night. Fahad Fazil, Honey Rose, and Asmitha Sood do the main roles.
Amal Neerad's story 'Kullante Bharya' is loosely based on an ancient Chinese short story and casts Dulquer Salman and Reenu Mathews in the lead roles.
Sameer Thahir's story 'Ish' explores the love between two strangers who meet at a bus stop. Nivin Pauly do the key role and Isha Shervani makes her debut in Malayalam through this film.
Cinematographer Shyju Khalid makes his debut as a director through the film 'Sethulekshmi', the fifth story in this anthology. The film is an adaptation of a story by M Mukundan. Two child artists, Anika and Chethan, play the lead in this segment.
The movie is produced by Amal Neerad Productions. Gopi Sunder, Bijibal, Prashanth Pillai, and Yakzan Gary Pereira are the music directors.
