"Climax" looks at the life of yester-year siren Silk Smita. Her real name was Vijayalakshmi Vadlapati,she took the reel name smita which eventually became Silk Smitha after her role as 'Silk' in the Tamil film "Vandichakram" .She had a career of nearly two decades before she ended her life in 1996.It is rumoured thatfilm makers would get her dates promising substantial role,shoot an erotic dance sequence first and then dump her.This reluctance affected in her getting any roles other than dances as she trusted evryone.The story also goes like that an apple which she had bit was auctioned for a record sum during her heydays.The story is by Antony Eastman and the script is written by Kaloor Dennis both of whom were contemporaries during
Silk Smitha's heydays.The movie is directed by Anil and produced by P.J Thomas under the banner Nice Movies.Sana Khan who primarily acts in Tamil,Telugu,Hindi and had stood 3rd in Big Boss 6 makes her malayalam debut through Climax.
