Superstar Mohanlal has already starred in several Tamil films and
also a few of his Malayalam movies have been dubbed in this language.
These films have got him a huge fan base in Tamil Nadu. The actor, who
was last seen with Kamal Hassan in Unnaipol Oruvan, is now all set to
star alongside actor Vijay in his upcoming movie Jilla. And he has all
praise for Ilayathalapathy, whom he calls his younger brother.

Produced by RB Choudary, Jilla is touted to be one of the
big-budget Tamil movies of 2013. The makers of the film are highly
guarding the story and the details of the characters in it. If we are to
go by the latest reports, Mohanlal is playing the father of Vijay and
his sister played by Niveda Thomas in the movie.
Jilla is set in Madurai. The first schedule of its shooting started
in Karaikudi on May 13. Along with Poornima Bhagyaraj, Mohanlal took
part in the filming of the movie. Recently, Vijay has joined Mohanlal to
shoot for the movie. Sources from the production team claim that both
actors are sharing great camaraderie on the sets and their combo scenes
will be a magic onscreen.
Mohanlal has high regards for Vijay, whom he has met at a few
functions earlier. "He's a nice and endearing human being. I respect and
love him a lot because he's so down to earth. Now I'm not surprised
with the huge fan following he has, not only in Tamil Nadu but in Kerala
too," TOI quotes Lal as saying. "For me, Vijay is the boy-next-door,
who has created a niche for himself in the industry," he added.
